Mr. Sullivan was born in Waterbury Nov. 14, 1924, son of the late James and Bridget (Downey) Sullivan. He was raised in Waterbury, resided in Watertown and summered in York Beach, Maine. He was an Army veteran of World War II having served with th e Battery A 571st Anti Aircraft Artillery
Battalion. He retired from Marcus Dairy after 35 years of service, and was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church. He was an avid bowler, liked playing cards and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Besides his wife, he leaves his son, Glenn Sullivan of Oxford; his daughter, Carol Reilly of Middlebury; three stepdaughters, Kathy Roberts of Watertown, Colleen Romanski of Hopkinton, R.I., and Mary Kate Russell of Bethlehem; 11 grandchildren; an d four greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Sullivan will be held at 8:15 a.m. on Thursday morning from Hickcox Funeral Home, 195 Main St., to St. John the Evangelist for Mass at 9 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery, East Main Street, Wa terbury. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 4, from 4 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, 06492.
