Venerable Martin Archdale was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland. He was the Rector of Straboe, County Carlow, Ireland, in 1635. He held the office of Archdeacon of Ferns in 1640. He was stripped of his l ivings in the Irish Rebellion of 1641.
