He died on 9 August 1711, before his father. Captain Thomas Archdale was educated at Wadham College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for High Wycombe in 1699. He lived at Stanho e, Norfolk, England, jure uxori. He lived at Thornham, Norfolk, England, jure uxoris.He sold the High Wycombe estates to Lord Shelburne in 1700.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1706 in the service of the Col. Roger Townshend's Regiment of Foot . He transfered officer in 1707 in the service of the Royal Fusiliers.
