Colonel Mervyn Archdale

He died on 27 December 1726, unmarried. Colonel Mervyn Archdale graduated from Trinity Church, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1705 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.). He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1708 in the service of the Colone l Irvine's Militia Regiment of Dragoons. He held the office of High Sheriff in 1714. He gained the rank of Colonel in 1715 in the service of the Dragoon Regiment of Fermanagh. As of 1722, Colonel Mervyn Archdale was considered the head of the Archd ale family, succeeding his father, William Archdale. He lived at Castle Archdale, County Fermanagh, Ireland
