William Archdale held the office of High Sheriff in 1667, and again in 1692. He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.). He lived at Old Castle Archdale, County Fermanagh, Ireland,, which had been rebuilt, but was again destroyed by fire dur ing the 'troubles' in 1689. He held the office of member, Commission of Array for County Fermanagh, during the time of Queen Anne.
